Here we are, mid-May and we are still pushing for additional funding to be appropriated by Congress for the ACP. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. Without additional funding, May is the last month for the ACP reimbursement.
As a result, on June 1, 2024:
If you are enrolled in Lifeline and the ACP with Access Wireless, your service will update to the Access Wireless Lifeline plan available based on your zip code. You can go to accesswireless.com and enter your zip code to confirm your allotment.
If you are enrolled in the ACP only with Access Wireless, your service in June will include 50 minutes and 50 text messages. You may access data via Wi-Fi or top-up to your Access Wireless account for additional data, text and minutes. We offer several top-up options such as a $15 top-up, which includes 1,000 minutes, unlimited text and 3GB of high-speed data.
As we are doing, we encourage you to continue reaching out to your state representatives to let them know the ACP is important to you and that it needs to be refunded. Click here to make your voice heard!
April 1, 2024
As of today, no additional funding has been appropriated by Congress for the ACP. Without additional funding, this is the last fully funded month for ACP reimbursement. We continue to monitor as we know this program helps so many stay connected to family, work, school, health care and so much more!
The ACP expects a partial reimbursement for the month of May. As a result, your May allotment will include:
Plans covered by ACP and Lifeline Discounts:
Unlimited talk, unlimited text and 7GB high-speed data
Tribal Lands will include 25GB high-speed data
Plans covered by ACP Discount:
1000 minutes, unlimited text and 5GB high-speed data
Tribal Lands will include 15GB high-speed data
If no additional funding is appropriated by the end of May, there will be an additional update to your June allotment:
If you are enrolled in Lifeline with Access Wireless, your June allotment will renew to the Access Wireless Lifeline plan. Please go to accesswireless.com and enter your zip code to see your specific allotment.
If you are enrolled in ACP only with Access Wireless, you will need to top-up to continue service.
Access Wireless offers several top-up options, including a new promotional $15 top-up which includes 1000 minutes, unlimited text and 3GB high-speed data. Sign into your Access Wireless MyAccount or dial 611 from your Access Wireless phone to top-up.
As an ACP recipient, you have the option to opt out of the ACP or change your provider.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Wind down
The ACP is at risk of winding down due to current funding being depleted and Congress not taking action to appropriate additional funding. We are required to notify you that the last fully funded month for the ACP is April 2024 and May 2024 is expected to be a partially funded month.
We know this benefit is crucial to keeping you connected to work, family, school and so much more and we continue to monitor the situation closely!
What does this mean for you?
Starting on April 21, 2024, if no additional funding is appropriated by Congress for the ACP, there will be an adjustment to your monthly data allotment.
If your service is covered by your ACP & Lifeline discounts, your monthly allotment will include 7GB of high-speed data. If you live on Tribal lands, your monthly allotment will include 25GB of high-speed data.
If your service is covered by your ACP discount only, your monthly allotment will include 5GB of high-speed data. If you live on Tribal lands, your monthly allotment will include 15GB of high-speed data.
What will happen to my Access Wireless service if the ACP winds down?
If your service is covered by your ACP & Lifeline discounts, your service will be covered by your lifeline benefit and your allotment will update on your June allotment renewal date. To see your lifeline benefit, go to accesswireless.com and enter your zip code.
If your service is covered by your ACP discount only, you may consider applying for lifeline service with Access Wireless or can top-up to keep your existing service. We will keep you posted on any additional offers.
As an ACP recipient, you have the option to opt out of the ACP or change your provider.
How do I get more data?
Access Wireless offers top-up options starting at just $5. Airtime pins can be purchased across several locations including Family Dollar, 7Eleven, Speedway, Kroger Family of Stores (Kroger Wireless Airtime cards work on Access Wireless accounts). You can also top-up by credit or debit card through your Access Wireless MyAccount or by dialing 611 from your Access Wireless phone.
What if there are other changes to the ACP?
As we mentioned above, we are actively monitoring this situation. It’s possible the service updates we communicated to you today could change based on additional information received from the FCC or if additional funding is appropriated for the program. We will continue to keep you informed on any updates to the program and impacts to your service and you can return to this page to see the latest updates. Thank you for choosing Access Wireless!
